On this date in 1993 Janet Reno is confirmed by the United States Senate and sworn-in the next day, becoming the first female Attorney General of the United States.

Teaching Tip
When teaching children that are just beginning to learn to spell, write the words that they ask you on post-it notes. Later they can copy these onto cards for their word box.

Technology Tip
Make your web browser fly. If you have enough free memory on your system you can set up a ram drive and use it as a disk cache with your browser. Items retrieved from the cache will be at the speed of your systems' memory.
